Breakaway
This past weekend I went went our high schoolers to LRCA in IN for a small group retreat. Here are the girls who went from my small group.

I love these girls. I am so glad we got to go. It was probably the most relaxing breakaway. Usually we are so tight with schedule and intense activities that this time we just had some more freedom to have fun and did some fun interactive games. It was a nice change. We also did some encouragement which I think was awesome for our group. It reminded me of how much I love being part of their lives on a weekly basis.

Some highlights: Kelly and I not only quoted Napoleon Dynamite but also reenacted the tetherball scene (above), there was a random stampede of sheep at one point that we witnessed, and we played our own version of twister.

None of these however was the cause of me spraining my ankle-yes I made it through a crazy weekend at camp only to miss a stair at home injuring myself worse than ever before...

I finally finished Alias-
I know to Sarah's excitement I finally finished all three seasons of Alias last night. I stayed up way too late watching them but I had to find out what happened. I know that everyone is probably sick of me talking about it so you will now get a break. I think I have to admit that maybe I had been watching too much when I looked up admin jobs for the CIA and tried some self defense moves on eli...I heard some disturbing news today though from Sherry that the lead male (michael vartan) will be leaving the show this next season which is very disturbing.

I guess now Janelle and I will have to wait til January to find out...which I highly recommend this tv show-you still have time to catch up before then.

People at church:
the other week someone called and asked to speak with the minister. If you know our church you know that we have a ton so Sharie knew in a couple minuntes that he didn't really do to our church. He was calling for help which happens a lot but this is the funny thing. He wanted a pastor to take him to the hospital because a spider bit him. She suggested that maybe he should call an ambulance if he was worried but he said no, no it isn't an emergency I just have a spider bite and want a minister to come get me (30 minutes away mind you) and give me a ride to the hospital.
Who are these people that call us?

Picking out music for a church party is not easy.
So somehow I got nominated to help pick out music for our church's anniversary party. I am having some problems. I have good ones even though they are always ones to play: I will Survive, Dancing Queen, Electric slide. However, I was requested to also put Celebrate and We Are Family. I am taking a stand and not allowing the Chicken Dance or Mony Mony.
Any good clean dance song suggestions?
