-Suggestion to all: Never watch the ending of "The Notebook" before going to work. All morning yesterday I was choking back my tears-not good for concentrating on work. I don't cry at movies on a regular basis but this I can't help myself.

-I forget how good it is to listen to some 80s music at work. I am not ashamed to say I just finished Foolish Beat by Debbie Gibson and now Almost Paradise is busting out from Footloose. Speaking of I heard a horrible rumor that there was a remake in talks with Brittney Spears. I really hope this is a vicious lie.

Some thoughts from today:

-I am so crabby-the morning didn't start off so good-I feel stressed out about work and it hasn't gotten any better. I have a meeting tonight even so I can't go home and relax.

-I found out that for our 20 hour bus ride to our student community conference this summer they are not letting anyone bring electronic devices-including headphones! This will be the busride from he__. I'll try to make a positive outlook tomorrow but for now I am in shock.

Funny thing I heard today: On Dr. Phil today there was a couple who met on the Barry Manilow fan club website, got married on Manilow's birthday, continued to name their son Barry and now their 13 year old son Barry has a cd of him playing Manilow songs on the piano. His father was sending emails to his teachers about how gifted he is. Wow.

Back from my "business trip to Florida"

This was a view from the hotel we stayed in. It was rough:)
The conference was good but some of the highlights are the off times:
-We ate at a restaurant named "Pussers on the Beach"...apparently it is the name of some special rum but that still didn't make us feel better about saying it..
-Eric and I skipped out of a session we deemed not necessary and went to the beach for a hour..no one was the wiser.
-We went to a kareoke place one night: we could not have made this story up...everyone there was at least twice as old as we were singing sinatra...they had their own version of William Hung: he was asian, challenged, danced, and sang She Bangs...an older gentleman asked Pat to dance and she quickly shot him down...we danced to someone singing Mandy off key...and Eric and I sang Endless Love.
-They had not one chocolate dessert fountain but two: a white and milk chocolate..I think I gained 3 pounds
-We had margaritas in a bar by the beach with umbrellas in them while we were killing time before taking off...I love drinks with umbrellas:)
