Easter with Lexi: (I know it was a couple weeks ago but I had to show off a couple new pictures)
She's so cute.

She's checking out the book I got her and yes the care bear dressed as a bunny if from me.
Care bears are not gay.

There was a mini bath setup in the mall so my entire family thought it would be cute to stick her in there for a photo op.
Who puts a little girl in a mall display?

Say Goodbye to the Honda...
This past weekend my car broke down on the side of the interstate in St. Louis this weekend on the way to the wedding. I was just driving along like normal when suddenly my battery light went on and then clunk clunk clunk under the car and black things went flying out of the back of my car resulting in engine lights going on and the car stopping. I managed to pull off to the side of the road.
It took triple A an hour to get there as I sat in the heat in a tank shirt while construction guys kept coming by and putting it in neutral to push me out of their way. Anyway, my dad met me at the shop we towed it to and I was still only 15 minutes late to the rehearsal dinner for my cousin's wedding.
Here she is at the shop one last time...
My poor car-I miss you already.
Here's the pic of the engine: the belt rubbed part of the casing away causing the belt to fly off, things to break and fly out, the pistons to stick and all but one of the cylinders to lose power.
Stupid engine.
The shop guy told me he didn't think it was worth the money to put a new engine in it and my dad agreed so the shop is sending me a few bucks and they are donating to the diabetes fund so I guess that's nice. I had to find a last minute flight back to get home. So up next on my list of things to do that I don't want to...buy a new car.

Alias is back!
The last six nights of Alias started last night. Yes, I marked it on my calendar and have been anxiously awaiting its return. Last night didn't disappoint-it was like the old Alias was back with returning characters.

Here is a screen capture from last night which I found kind of funny. So Vaughn's supposed to be hiding in a hut in the desert with some monk like guys where he is only available by horse but this is what he looks like?
He does look nice.
Hey, I'm not complaining but does the hut have a place for him to keep his nice shaven scruffy look? and did he wake up and be like "what am I going to wear in the hut today? Oh I know a clean grey tshirt and a nice black sweater."

Most Ridiculous thing I've read:
I read this article about this crazy theory that Jesus didn't die on the crucifixion. This guy has absolutely no proof whatsoever or docs to back it up but somehow he pulled enough words out of his butt to write a book.
Crazy theory book article
NBC interviewed him and here are a couple of my favorite parts:
"Baigent admits he has never met Lilley(some church member who was supposed to see docs) who is dead, he’s never seen the document, nor does he have any idea what the document said. Even Baigent concedes this story has a lot of holes.
Baigent(Crazy author): I know—it’s terrible isn’t it.
James(NBC): It’s a pretty tall order.
Baigent: It is a tall order and I wish I could make it more solid. But we can’t.

And I can almost feel the sarcasticness in the NBC person's voice in this one:
"James(NBC): Were you allowed to copy the papers?
Baigent(Crazy author): Nothing.
James: Were you allowed to photograph them?
Baigent: Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.
James: Did anybody else see them with you?
Baigent: No one else was there. Just me.
James: So you were in a room looking at papers you couldn’t read that were in Aramaic?
Baigent: Yes.
James: So in essence, you’re asking people to believe what you say about documents, but they’ll never see the documents. They’ll never have the proof."

This is preposturous: At this rate we could make up whatever we want, I could just pull out that Barney is really Jesus incarnate because he sings of love and brings the little children to him.

I finally got my power cord so I uploaded my pictures from a couple weekends ago. James has been waiting for these...

Us ladies posed

Doug and James doing their gang moves

Here's James either doing her "escalator" or falling on a chicken bone, both of which happened

My power cord went out on my computer so I can't get on at home so I am secreting posting this at work. I ordered a new one - those crazy things are $70 with tax and shipping!

AI Confession: Ryan has grown on me. He used to get on my nerves but especially now with his little unshaven look he's sporting and the fact that he'd go out with Teri Hatcher, I have to admit I like him.

I'm pretty excited about going home this weekend. Becky and I are having girls night with my sister and I'm sure I'll have 100 new pictures of my neice when I get back. Oh and my mom has decided for easter this year we should make tilapia on the grill. I'm just hoping there's no rain Thursday night because I sure don't want another scary flight. I just had another one last week coming home from OH that I'm not ready to repeat.

The Worst City Day:
I can't wait for this day to be over.

1st: due to time change and thinking about everything I have to get done at work before going to another conference I got minimal sleep, waking up every couple hours after finally getting to sleep at around 1 a.m. This led me to long for the old ability to sleep in and still have time to exercise before work-now I'm not sure how safe it is and I'd have to get up an hour earlier than I used to since I have to leave for work earlier.

2nd: this morning I had to walk in the rain to get to work which by the time I got there I was disgusting and all itchy from my sweater, also having to carry a bunch of extra stuff back to the office from last week's conference. Oh yeah, and I can't find my umbrella. This made me want to curse the city's lack of parking lots and ability to drive.

3rd: I was supposed to stuff 175 folders and ship them out today. This made me long for my vounteers back. This is something they would have done for me, now I have to do them myself which with 14 papers to go in each takes hours for one person. I planned all afternoon to do this but our printer had other ideas. Apparently it takes 4 hours just to print one of the inserts-which was the only one I even needed to print, of course. And its such a great printer that it only took a freakin hour to even get it started printing correctly. Once it did I didn't want to leave work without it finishing in the event it would suddenly break again as it did earlier, which led me to stay at work an hour later with folders still not completed.

4th: Xa and I try to salvage the day by trying out another church in the city. We get there and its moved so then we're too late so then we figure we'd go shopping. This led us to park in a lot that apparently when you are not looking for literally five minutes tows your car charging you $150 by saying you weren't shopping there.

These are the biggies but pretty much every little thing was annoying today as well (i.e. forgetting my stereo cover in the house so the radio wouldn't work, etc.)

Right now I want a parking lot, a ten minute drive to work and I have very angry thoughts towards the city. I am trying to sooth myself with an episode of Friends and a butter rum hot chocolate. I really hope this helps...the end
