The girls came home from college!
Kelly and Ali drove up to the city last night for a good reunion evening dinner, shopping and a movie. It was so fun to see them. What is so great about these girls is that we can always pick up where we left off which is a sign a true friend and everytime we get together we can't stop laughing.
Here are some pics:

Kelly and I were laughing at the idea of making this one a Christmas card from the both of us and sending it out to people

Why..
-Does the city of Chicago not clear any of the sidewalks? It is only a matter of time until I fall and break something.
-My mom after all these years still does not know what kind of candy I would like in my stocking? (I realize I might be a little old for the stockings but if she is still going to use them maybe try to remember that I prefer peppermint patties over an orange)
-Do I get sick every year around Christmas?
-Do we have to wait so long for new episodes of Lost and Alias?
-No matter how many years I have to do it I still can barely drag myself out of bed in the morning
-Do girls who are younger than me feel the need to call me "sweetie"

Crazy Cab Drivers:

We've had some nice ones, but recently I have had some rather different experiences.

1)So the other night my co-worker and I shared a cab home from our staff dinner.
I told him my address and he kept saying the wrong street name, so I kept restating it. Finally, I am spelling my street name past the seat and he says "don't shout at me-if you don't like my driving find a different cab" We were just like this guy is ridiculous. And then finally when we got to my street and I had to still tell him to turn there he was like "oh-Loomis-you said Looment" We didn't even know what to say. We just said no, that's not what we said but whatever.

2)When I got in from California I had to take a cab home but had to pay for it with Credit Card for work. Seriously the guy complained the whole way he was taking me home, like how they get screwed with credit cards..how they legally have to take the ride at the airport or he wouldn't take them..how his machine doesn't always work..on and on and on. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Even if he feels like that you shouldn't tell your customer that over and over again. It made me feel really uncomfortable.

3)Thinking about these reminds me of one time when us girls where taking a ride somewhere and the cabbie had Pearl Jam on the radio. We started singing along being silly. He immediately turned the station..

Trip to Cali:
I went to Burbank last week "on business". It sounds more exciting than it was. The people in the LA office though were very nice and it was a good time to visit and see how they do things there.
One night a mutual friend took me around a little and I felt the need to take a picture of the Pink Dot store that always reminds me of Swingers:

Then if was off to Bakersfield for the weekend. I got to spend some time with the Strands and Scott just relaxing. It is always good to have friends that it doesn't matter what you do, you can just hang out together, even it is means watching Reba's Top 20 Countdown (I'm not saying this happened but if we had, the number one video would have been "Fancy" and Shelly and I would have called it back at number 15)

We went out to dinner at this nice restaurant called the Elephant Bar.

I think my favorite line of the weekend was Shelly's theories on "if giants took over the world". Our menus were so big "if giants took over the world the menus would be pamplets to them"

Your Observation Skills Get A B

Your senses are pretty sharp (okay, most of the time)
And it takes something big to distract you!

One of these tests I actually passed! The weird eye thing is freaky.
